Founder, Chairman Emeritus
Mr. Carothers has over 40 years in property taxation including 10 years with the Nueces County Tax Assessors office and 5 with the Nueces County Appraisal District. He founded AAVTC on September 1, 1986. He is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker and a Sr. Property Tax Consultant. Mr. Carothers is also the Founder, COB and CEO of AAVTC Realty, LLC an affiliated real estate brokerage.

Rogers Bracy
CEO
Mr. Bracy has been involved in the property tax field since 1985. He oversees the commercial property and rural lands practice. He earned his B.S. Degree in Economics with heavy emphasis on real estate courses from Texas A&M University in 1984. Mr. Bracy is Co-owner of American Ad Valorem Tax Consultants and AAVTC Realty, LLC.

G. Nathan Young, CMI
President
Mr. Young is responsible for Business Development and also oversees the Oil and Gas and Energy Property Division. He holds the CMI designation as a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and is a Licensed Senior Property Tax Consultant. He is a member of the Mineral Sub-Committee of the Texas Oil and Gas Association. He holds a B.S. Degree in Geology from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi 1983. Mr. Young is Co-Owner of American Ad Valorem Tax Consultants and AAVTC Realty, LLC.

Selina Boggs

Ms. Boggs is a Licensed Property Tax Consultant, a Licensed Realtor and is listed with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Property Tax Division as a Registered Arbitrator #32055461092. She leads our residential valuation, appeals and real estate services practice and also represents many commercial properties. She has worked in the property tax field since 1998 and is a Member of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals, the National Association of Realtors and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. Selina is Co-Owner of American Ad Valorem Tax Consultants and AAVTC Realty, LLC.

Jay Cisernos
Vice President Oil and Gas Services
Mr. Cisneros is a Licensed Property Tax Consultant. He is responsible for the day to day organization and work assignments for our staff members that represent oil & gas mineral properties and related pipelines, plants and personal property. Jay is a 1994 graduate of Texas A&M University (Agricultural Economics). He began his property tax career with Pritchard and Abbot, Inc. in 1998, where he worked as an Industrial and Personal Property Appraiser until joining AAVTC in 2007. Jay is Co-Owner of American Ad Valorem Tax Consultants.

is a Licensed Property Tax Consultant representing oil and gas and energy related properties since 2002. He not only works Texas property, but he also responsible for oil & gas properties in Kansas, Virginia, West Virginia and Illinois. Prior to joining American Ad Valorem Jason worked as a Geoscientist at BNP Petroleum, Inc. Jason is a Member of the Institute of Professionals in Taxation.

is a Licensed Property Tax Consultant who operates out of our San Antonio office and has 20 + years of property tax experience in the Metroplex areas of Dallas-Fort Worth, Greater Houston, and San Antonio/Austin/Hill Country. With over 20 years of public speaking experience, he articulates informed and compelling property tax appeal arguments in commercial, residential and personal property cases.

Eddie Saunders
Tax Consultant
is a Licensed Property Tax Consultant who is responsible for a vast array of business and personal property accounts. Inventory, machinery & equipment, corporate offices, trucking fleets, drilling rigs, oil & gas service companies, wholesale beverage distribution, medical equipment, heavy manufacturing, marine services, research and development labs are just a few of the many types of property he appraises, renders and protests each tax year. Eddie is also a Certified Residential Appraiser with more than 25 years’ experience performing real estate appraisals in the Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi markets.

Missy Barton
Tax Consultant
is a Licensed Property Tax Consultant in our oil & gas practice with primary responsibility for our oil & gas royalty interest owners. She is responsible for coordinating appeal schedules and tax bill transmittals for more than 5,700 royalty interests in thousands of jurisdictions. She also represents some 400 operated oil & gas leases and the related personal property. She has more than 20 years
of property tax experience having worked previously for the Liberty County Appraisal District and later became the Director of Mineral Appraisals for the Houston District of Pritchard & Abbott, Inc.

Christine Scott
Office Manager
is our Office Manager. She is also a Licensed Property Tax Consultant who focuses on ownership appeals related to oil & gas properties. She is our primary liaison officer with our oil & gas clients, as well as the appraisal firms or appraisal district personnel for whom she secures the procurement of ownership division of interest records that are so vital to the property taxation on oil and gas property.

Scott Ensminger
Tax Consultant
Scott Ensminger is a licensed Property Tax Consultant who represents Commercial/Industrial real properties. He is also a Texas Realtor at AAVTC Realty LLC and an Arbitrator through the Texas Comptroller. Mr. Ensminger holds a B S Degree in Business Management from the University of Incarnate Word.
